While cleaning up the sound.
Everything that happens on a “real” movie is happening on this little 8-page script of mine. First, it was last minute chaos during production. What with losing two makeup artists in a row on the first day of production (can you believe how flaky people can be?) only to find a super snazzy m/u artist starting on Day Two.
Now, as I’ve taken over cutting the picture from Scody (he’s out of the city for the summer), I’m finding that I may have to lose an entire scene for pacing reasons.
…is what Jafar says to his talking bird in that wonderful film, Aladdin.
We’re gonna take our time with this and finish the picture by the end of summer and look for festivals with deadlines in the fall/winter. None of us are full-time filmmakers. We are full-time students. We have full-time jobs, etc. Better to get it perfect, than to rush things.

We’ve been in post-production for the past two weeks. Scott Cody my editor has been working tirelessly on this thing.
Scott and Chaun (my composer) came over to the apartment today and Scott screened the rough cut for us.
Still finding the structure of the film due to last minute changes I made on set that diverge from the script.
But, it’s looking really solid so far.
